Kieran Suntha, LMSW, specializes in the treatment of anxiety and related concerns in children, adolescents, and young adults. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that helps clients build confidence, develop effective coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience.

 

Kieran utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions to support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional difficulties, and behavioral concerns. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University, where she specialized in Advanced Clinical Practice. She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Middlebury College. Her clinical training includes providing psychotherapy to both adults and school-aged children in outpatient and school-based settings. She is certified in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and holds licensure in New York and Connecticut.

 

In addition to her clinical work, Kieran is actively involved in research focused on anxiety and tic disorders, serving as a research assistant on the Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) 10 year longitudinal follow up study. Her research has been presented at national professional conferences, including the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA). Her interests include anxiety disorders, tic disorders, psychiatric comorbidity, and the long-term outcomes of evidence-based interventions.
