Tammy Moscrip, PhD, LCSW
(Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
Dr. Tammy Moscrip brings a rare blend of clinical expertise, neuroscience research, and educational leadership to the Greenwich Anxiety team. With more than twenty years of experience providing teaching and therapy for students with various learning differences, ADHD, anxiety, and other psychological issues, Dr. Moscrip bridges the worlds of therapy and education to help clients achieve both emotional growth and academic or work success. She provides the often missing link between school and outside therapy for students while helping adults navigate real life challenges at work and at home.
Prior to joining the Greenwich Anxiety team, Dr. Moscrip served as Executive Director and Chief Administrator of The Spire School of Greenwich Education Group in Stamford, leading a multidisciplinary team integrating a therapeutic day school clinical program and college prep academic curriculum. Under her leadership, the school achieved NEASC accreditation and Connecticut State Approval as a private special education program, and supported hundreds of students and families in their pursuit of academic growth and emotional well being.
Dr. Moscrip has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults facing anxiety, OCD, Tourette syndrome, ADHD, and school avoidance. Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, with a specific focus on treating tic disorders through specialized habit reversal treatments including CBIT and HRT. She possesses a deep understanding of how these conditions impact peer relationships, family dynamics, school- and workplace functioning, and self-confidence, and she collaborates closely with families and multidisciplinary providers to ensure consistent support.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Moscrip provides specialized educational therapy and executive function coaching to help clients navigate academic and professional demands. This approach is rooted in her neuroscience background, which allows her to help individuals understand how their brains respond to stress and learning demands. By bridging clinical expertise with practical skill building, she equips clients with the essential tools needed for emotional regulation, organization, and lasting resilience in both school and workplace settings.
As a member of the Tourette Association of America, Dr. Moscrip remains actively engaged in the latest clinical advancements. A resident of Fairfield County and a mother of two, she brings warmth, compassion, and authenticity to every aspect of her practice, helping clients build self-awareness that extends far beyond the classroom or office.
